Background Data

Although born on a scum barge, Daniel Richards got himself tangled in the Earthside fighting that sparked the beginning of the fall. Conscripted by some nation or another – even Daniel doesn’t know anymore – and shoved into a Menton morph, he was put to work patching up soldiers as they got hurt and doing a bit of time out on the field as needed. All he got for his services was a face full of shrapnel and a deep hatred for the Earth-based government that kept shoving him back into the field. Just before everything really and truly went to hell, he and a few other scumborn conscripts hijacked a medevac bird and hauled ass out of Earth atmosphere. He heard about the emergence of the TITANs as the group was on its way out of the Inner System on a scum barge; his first immediate thought was “Good riddance.”

Upon reaching Extropia, Daniel soon enmeshed himself in the relatively free-wheeling life of the habitat. He quickly became known for two reasons: he was one of the better doctors there, and he proved that he didn’t need to hire security after three members of a not-so-friendly welcoming committee found themselves with scalpels in uncomfortable places. He did have one notable spat with an Earth reclaimist that led to him being blacklisted by the faction as a whole. He’s not too terribly torn up by it, though; Earth was never his home anyway, and he doesn’t really see a reason to pretend otherwise.

Current Morph

Daniel was probably handsome at one point. However, the wounds of war have cut deep and he refuses to change morphs for reasons known to very few. Daniel’s face and upper body are covered in scars left by shrapnel, leaving him with a somewhat disturbing countenance in an age of nano-sculpted beauties. He wears thick horn-rimmed glasses more out of habit than any need of vision correction. He wears clothes that are ready for a tussle, as well as a pair of shock gloves and a white doctor’s coat that is his one vanity: he keeps it spotless no matter what sort of muck he gets into. When on the job he is often seen carrying an old leather doctor’s satchel with his tools and a well-maintained pistol.
